Data processed when you visit this website

This website is operated without JavaScript, without analytics tools and without cookies. When a page is requested, the web server (Caddy) automatically processes the following data in an access log:

Purpose and legal basis

The processing serves the technically error-free operation and the security of the website (e.g. detection of abuse). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Storage period

The access logs are deleted automatically after 7 days; the IP address is only stored in truncated form.

Contacting us by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide – usually your name, your email address or phone number and the content of your inquiry – in order to handle and answer your inquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as your inquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, for example in the case of a project inquiry. In all other cases, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering inquiries addressed to us.

We store this data until your inquiry has been fully dealt with. If it is subject to statutory retention obligations, in particular under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO), we retain it until these periods have expired.

Recipients / hosting

Website and email server: The website and our own email server run on a server of IP-Projects GmbH & Co. KG. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider. The servers are located in data centers in Germany (Frankfurt am Main and Eschborn); no transfer of your data to third countries takes place in the course of hosting.

Additional email provider: We also use email services of united-domains GmbH. Emails to us may therefore also be processed on their systems. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is also in place with united-domains GmbH.

Phone: Our telephony is provided by 1&1. For calls, the provider processes the connection data that is technically required.

Links to external services

This website contains simple links to external services, such as LinkedIn, XING, freelancermap, Wikipedia or GitHub. No data is transmitted to these providers when you visit our pages; the icons for LinkedIn, XING and freelancermap are also hosted on our own server. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding the personal data concerning you:

Right to object

Insofar as we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 (1) GDPR). We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. You can send your objection informally to the email address given above.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The competent authority is:

Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI)
